Happy #SeekTheJoy Tuesday!

On the podcast today is Vanessa Cornell, the founder of NUSHU.

NUSHU is a wellness collective and global community committed to fostering true connection, personal growth, and empowerment

Through NUSHU, Vanessa curates potent thought leaders, offers community programming, and has trained dozens of facilitators to hold powerful space for others in NUSHU Group, a radically different modality where you can show up exactly as you are, where you will be welcomed and accepted, where no one will try to fix you, and where you can feel safe to share and be seen fully in your truth.

In today’s episode Vanessa and I chat about:

  • The healing power of community, how we can begin to know ourselves better through community, and the importance of holding space for others and ourselves.

  • Situational vs. intentional community, the fundamental differences, and how it impacts our ability to be vulnerable and honest in these spaces.

  • The loneliness pandemic and what NUSHU is doing to change this.

  • The co-healing that takes place in NUSHU Group, how each participant sits in the seat of the healer and the healed, and building trust in community.

  • Plus, Vanessa shares her biggest dream, and so much more!

I’m so excited to share this week’s new episode with Vanessa, and I can’t wait to hear what you think! Make sure to join the conversation on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter!

The number one thing that was missing was the connection to myself. You cannot have a connection to another person if you are not connected to yourself, because when you’re connecting to someone else you’re showing your true self to them. People talk about vulnerability and honesty, but you can’t be seen if you won’t let yourself be seen. You can’t be seen if you don’t show yourself, and you can’t show yourself if you don’t know yourself.
— Vanessa Cornell
Part of the reason why I came to NUSHU Group as a modality is because I wanted to create a place where people could understand that they have so much of the wisdom and the answers already, they just need the time and the space to see it for themselves and to discover it for themselves. The alternative, which is somebody telling them the answer, is not going to get them there.
— Vanessa Cornell
