Nasty Woman Cosmetics is a socially minded cosmetics company dedicated to supporting feminist ideals. After watching the Women's March last year, and seeing so many come together to fight for human rights, gender equality, reproductive rights, healthcare for all, and basic civil liberties was so inspiring to Gina.

Lipstick has been a symbol of empowered women throughout the ages. Red lipstick, especially, has been a long standing symbol of the feminist revolution. For Gina, now is the time for all of our voices to be heard.

From there - Nasty Woman Cosmetics was born.

Their lipstick is formulated to be long lasting, highly pigmented, and smudge free - perfect for the woman who has a lot to say!

Right now Gina is offering two colors - resistance red, and persistence pink - with other products coming to the store soon!

I love the concept of this company, and the message Gina is spreading. Part of the proceeds from every sale go to Emily's List, a political action committee dedicated to helping progressive Democratic women become elected to all levels of government. They seek to put women into office who can make significant contributions to education, health care, economic and gender equality, and reproductive rights. Supporting progressive female candidates is a cause that I can get behind.

On today's episode we chat all about her journey creating Nasty Woman Cosmetics, what inspired her, the importance of a strong female support system, speaking out, living authentically, her role in the resistance movement, and more.

I hope you enjoy today's episode and leave feeling inspired by Gina and her mission - and ready persist and resist in 2018.
