She helps women with their voice, faith, confidence, and grind (consistency in working smart). Her Faith Model enables women to use their gift(s) to build their empire. With faith, Sharon believes that you can start the process of doing the abundant things God has for you to do (James 2:17).

I’m so excited for you to connect with Sharon, check out her work, and follow along as she continues to help emerging and aspiring faith-based women entrepreneurs build their online businesses using their God-given gift(s) in order to live a life of financial freedom.

I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.

I’m Sharon Shannon, the Faith Coach, Speaker, CEO of In Sharon's Heart, and Organizer of Women of Movement. I help emerging and aspiring faith-based women entrepreneurs build their online businesses using their God-given gift(s) in order to live a life of service and financial freedom. I do that by helping them zone in and focus on what brings them joy and scaling it. What I’m working on now is my Faith & Grind Group Coaching, which serves as a business support group with business courses and intensive workshops that will help potential and seasoned business owners create and scale their online businesses faster than I did. That really excites me, because it is fulfilling to see their businesses grow faster than mine did. The group coaching is bi-weekly and one monthly individual coaching session with me. I’m soooooo excited how it will help women and their online businesses.

How did you get started?

Years back I had very little faith and didn't see what God had for me. What does that mean? Well, although I was achieving worldly (opposed to spiritual) endeavors, something was missing. You see, I didn’t really believe the vision God had for my life. I thought I did, but the reality was my actions told another story. I functioned in the daytime like a robot, but I was a mess at night--sad and down in the dumps. I would wallow in my grief at the pain of the many opportunities I missed and the poor decisions I made. So at night when I laid my head on that pillow I was a total wreck. Then one day I got a new revelation of the wonderful and fearless person God said I was and I started to do the work on myself. Now I inspire and empower women to feel great about themselves and gain confidence in the amazing things they can do. I do that mostly through speaking on virtual stages and personal and business coaching.

What inspired the work that you're doing?

I was always a speaker. From a young age I loved words and books. When I was in middle school I would read the dictionary and use big words on my family throughout the day to memorize the words. Then I would see myself speaking to thousands of people. I knew I was different and my mother knew it too. She never laughed at me when I told her my aspirations. So I would say I was born to do what I do now and life’s ups and downs gave me a story that allows me to connect with women who may be hurting or who have made mistakes. I like to tell them that their past does not matter. It was necessary to mold them into the beautiful creations they are today. They can use their past to help others.

What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?

I am most definitely living my passion. Finally. My biggest passion is uplifting people, especially women and kids. I am an educator by trade, so teaching comes naturally. It warms my heart when I see someone who started from the pit, but got out of it and are now thriving. When I have something to do with that, wow, that’s an awesome feeling. That’s one of the main reasons I do what I do. There’s always hope for a brighter tomorrow. Joy really does come in the “morning.”

What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?

When women really understand that they are here for a reason and that God created them — each one of us — on purpose for such a special purpose. None of us is here by accident. I love it when women get a renewed sense of who they are and what they can do. What helps them get there is my Faith Model. Also known as my ABG Model, which consists of Affirmations, Belief, and Grind. That’s the “joy blueprint” of new level success. It is what got me out of those nightly dumps of extreme sadness. I love talking about my Faith Model at my speaking events. It’s fire.

How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?

I make it a point to walk with my dog everyday. Some days are better than others, so if I am not able to walk, I stretch and do weights. So physical fitness and wellness are important. I talk to God a lot too and read at least one line of scripture several times per day. I drink one cup of coffee in the morning. I love just almost everything about hot coffee. I drink green tea a lot too. I control my emotional health by letting things go, not holding on to things that don’t matter, and maintaining boundaries from people who are not good in my life. I also have a great family and great friends.

What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?

My younger self would be so proud of me today and she would say, “it’s about time.” My younger self already saw where I am now and she would love what she’s seeing.

Do you have a go-to mantra or affirmation?

Sure do. I have several, but one is: “All things are possible to those who believe” (Mark 9:23). We must believe greater is possible for our lives and we are deserving of it.

What is your biggest dream?

To serve women, among others, forever. I want to help and honor women with an open honest heart, from my heart to their heart — In Sharon’s Heart.
