Tina's inspiration and love of wellness began from when her older sister, Anna, was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 23, which ultimately took her at the age of 48. Anna's illness and suffering was a wakeup call for Tina to learn more about how to take better care of herself and help others. Her mission: To teach as many people about natural health and wellness to live a healthier and happier life. She has also discovered methods to release self-sabotaging beliefs and come to peace with them. When Tina is home, she is busy cooking home-made, healthy meals for her family and friends. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves bicycling with her husband, traveling, hiking, and playing and snuggling with her three dogs, Geddy Lee, Nala and Wolfgang and two rambunctious kitties, Mickey and Monkey.
In today’s episode Tina shares her story learning to love her body. Growing up as the third female child in an Italian family, Tina never felt the love she craved from both her parents. The only way for her to get the love and attention she craved was to refuse food. It wasn’t long until this behavior developed into Anorexia. She used to refuse to eat as a form of control over her crazy Italian parents and her chaotic life, and then when she was twelve years old everything she changed. She traveled to Italy with her Nona and fell in love with food for the first time. Tina realized she had an emotional relationship with food, and after her sister passed away from cancer it was the wake-up call she needed to take care of herself. She realized she had a deep love of wellness, and it became her mission to teach as many people as she could about natural health and wellness. Over the years she’s come to peace with the self-sabotaging behaviors, and Tina knows if she can heal you can too. Now Tina teaches professional menopausal women to lose weight naturally and keep it off forever without yo-yo dieting. The key to her success is coming to peace with those emotions that drive you to eat and keep you stuck.
