Ep. 7 Running on Passion & Purpose with Sarah Brunet

Happy #SeekTheJoy Tuesday and welcome back to The Seek The Joy Podcast! ✨💛🎙

Tuesday is officially my favorite day of the week (for obvious reasons!)

On today's episode is Sarah Brunet. Sarah is the owner of a boutique immigration law firm in Los Angeles, CA. Sarah is dedicated, passionate, energetic and compassionate. She was born, raised, and educated in France and she moved to California to attend Pepperdine Law School. Bringing families together and helping people reach their dreams is her mission - and the most rewarding part of her work.

Sarah runs on passion and purpose - in everything that she does

Sarah was at the forefront of advocating for and helping individuals who were caught up in the travel ban that went into effect earlier this year by the Trump administration. She was instrumental in offering free legal help at LAX - and she started Track the Ban in response.

For Sarah, creating Track the Ban was about finding ways to provide greater and more general relief for those in need. It was about providing relief for the people we don't see. On the website were daily recommendations that included where could you travel from. Sarah wanted to create a green route that would allow people to enter the US with ease. She provided them with tools and a legal packet that helped travelers coming to the United States.

She saw a need - and she stepped up. Big time.

Throughout 2017, Sarah has maintained her promise and dedication to advocating for individuals affected by the ban, and she has helped raise awareness each time a new version of the ban went into place.

Sarah says it so eloquently on today's episode - we are here to learn. We're given so much time in this life, and it's our opportunity and responsibility to invest our time in making a difference and giving back. When and where there is a need, find a way to use your skills, tools, resources, education, and talents to give back and make the world and your community a better place.

Find something that you're passionate about - and go for it. Jump in. You want to be able to look back 10 years ago and know you did everything you could to make a difference, and make an impact, and pursue your passions.

Give a little bit more than you get.

Seize opportunities.

Take risks.

Don't lose perspective of who you are and who you want to be.

Remain humble.

Look for the opportunities to make small changes.

Run on emotional adrenaline.

Kindness.

Compassion.

All on today's episode.
