  • Molly's experience hitting rock bottom, and how she found her inner strength and self-worth

That’s the beautiful thing, there’s no one right way to lift women up. We need all of us, and all of our unique skills, talents and passions.

In the last eight years every good thing in my life has come from lifting women up and being lifted up by other women, and that’s where that ripple effect comes in.
— Molly Galbraith

As a young woman, Molly struggled with insecurities. Her time was spent chasing a number on the scale or the barbell. After 20+ years of wishing her body looked differently, she finally discovered how to stop comparing herself to and competing with other women. Since then, supporting women and being supported by them has changed every aspect of her life.

Today, the Strong Women Lift Each Other Up philosophy is woven through the fabric of the Girls Gone Strong movement. From employing and educating to featuring, collaborating with, and investing in women, GGS is dedicated to lifting up women all over the world.

They’ve consulted, collaborated with, and been featured by Yale, the Olympics, Johns Hopkins, Time, People, Today, ABC, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, and more.

I’m not going to let what other people think of me and my body impact my own self-worth, I want to like myself and feel good about myself regardless of how I look, how much I can lift, or what people say about me. That kickstarted this really powerful journey for me over the last eight years about getting to a place where I feel good and comfortable with myself, and then helping other women do the same.

As women, many of us have false beliefs about who we are and what we must do to succeed, and these beliefs pit us against other women—holding us back from strength, success, empowerment, connection, and making the kind of difference we’re here to make.

It’s time for a change.

Strong Women Lift Each Other Up is an evidence-based, actionable guide to creating a better life for yourself and a better world with more opportunity for women and girls.

If you’ve ever . . .

  • struggled with jealousy or comparing your life or body to other women

  • wanted to support or believe in women, but felt like they’re catty or tearing you down

  • felt like you’re competing with other women for opportunities that are scarce

  • or felt like you were made for more than the life you’re living now

. . . this book is for you.

Women are ready to stop the vicious cycle of criticizing, judging, gossiping, and comparing themselves.

We want to feel good in our own skin and know we’re enough, just as we are.

By the end of this book, you won’t walk into a room and size up other women. You’ll walk in feeling like you don’t have to compare yourself at all.

I think my biggest dream would be to live in a world where all women and girls get the success and opportunities they need to thrive and succeed. To live in a world where women believe they’re enough just as they are, and they’re happy to see other women succeed. To live in a world where there’s equitable representation of women in all the important places where decisions are made.
