Meg captures people in their best light, and photography has always been an important part of her life. When she was 14 she was given her first camera, and since then she hasn’t stopped taking photos and it’s truly her biggest passion.

I’m so excited for you guys to connect with Meg, check out her work and photography, and follow along as she continues to use her passion for photography to not only empower and inspire, but also connect people too.

I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.

I’m Meg, a fashion and personal brand photographer based in Bristol.

I work with brands and creative business owners to create engaging, visual content which helps them sell their products or services and attract their ideal clients.

I’m currently working with a number of talented female entrepreneurs to create authentic portraits which tell their story and capture the essence of their businesses.

How did you get started?

On my fourteenth birthday I was given my first camera. Since then I haven’t stopped taking photographs! I studied photography throughout my school years and went on to start studying at Brighton University. I realised that University wasn’t for me so I left and decided to set up and start finding clients who I could shoot for.

What inspired the work that you're doing?

The amazing people that I meet along the way. It’s so inspiring to work with such talented individuals who are so passionate about what they do. My parents were both really driven, my dad a farrier and my mum has worked in a range of fields.

I was taught young to find something that you love, and that the rest would sort itself out. I think people are right when they say this, but what I’ve learned since then is that, once you’ve found your passion, you have to work your socks off to make it a career. For me, in literal terms, this meant working multiple jobs to make ends meet and working whenever it’s needed. 9-5 is a bit of an alien concept to me.

What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?

My biggest passion is photography. It’s a great tool to empower, inspire and connect people. I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their journey.

With my work, this is all about empowering the clients I work with. This can be through the final photos I deliver, but also through the ensuring I understand the value they provide to their customers.

What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?

I love to travel and this makes me feel the most alive. In the last few years I have seen the northern lights from a campervan in Iceland, star gazed in the desert and watched my boyfriend surf in numerous beautiful places.

Many things bring me joy. I really appreciate the small things such as, cuddling a baby, eating a slice from my favourite pizzeria and watching netflix documentaries with my boyfriend!

How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?

Every night I like to unwind by lighting candles and listening to relaxation music. I also use a mindfulness app which has lots of helpful exercises.

What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?

I think my younger self would be really proud and surprised of what I’m doing now. A year after my fourteenth birthday I lost my dad to suicide and my whole world turned upside down. It took a very long time for me to come to terms with my new reality and a lot of hard work but I manage to lead a positive life day to day. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing support from my family and friends.

Do you have a go-to mantra or affirmation?

Life is precious. Make the most of it.

What is your biggest dream?

To have a family and build our own home.
