Linda Olson is the go-to story expert who helps authors, speakers and entrepreneurs impact millions with their stories. She is a TEDx Speaker, multiple bestselling author and founder of Wealth Through Stories. Her mission is to impact a million people a year with multiple authors in her series, Story Matters! Linda and her husband, Rick, reside in sunny California. They enjoy their two married daughters, sons-in-law and five adorable grandchildren who are the best part of their story.

I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.

Hi! My name is Linda Olson, TEDx speaker, Best-selling author and Story Expert. I am passionate about helping Entrepreneurs & mission-driven people create and share their stories. I specialize in helping them Master their Message & tell their story in 2 minutes or less, use story in their profitable workshops as well as write their story chapter. I have been married to the man of my dreams for nearly 40 years. Together we enjoy our two married daughters, sons-in-law and 5 adorable grandchildren who are the best part of my story.

How did you get started?

I journaled from very young and later pursued my writing skills through Writer’s conferences. The real turning point in my writing came when I realized you don’t have to be a great writer to get your message out. You just need a great editor. I’ve always loved true, inspirational stories. I think it is the joy of seeing things turn from sad to amazing!

What Inspired the work you’re doing?

At 14 years of age, through a tractor accident that my 2-year-old brother was killed. I was the one driving the tractor. That day changed my life forever. Although it was a long and costly journey to healing, I realized the biggest price I would ever pay is staying stuck in my story. I continued to go forward the best I knew how. When I came to complete healing, I received a new calling; first to write my book and share my story and secondly to help others find and share their story.

What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?

My biggest passion is to fulfill my mission, “To Impact A Million People A Year Through Story.”

Yes, I am living my passion and purpose and loving it!

What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?

I love the quote, “Life is a Story. Makes yours a Bestseller.” My joy blueprint is functioning from a grateful heart to enjoy life to the fullest. There are many things that light me up and bring me joy such as interacting with my 5 grandchildren, being out in nature, hiking, traveling, watching an inspirational movie with my husband, an intimate conversation with a friend over a cup of hot tea, capturing a memorable moment on my camera but what touches me deeply is coming alongside someone and helping them transform their story.

How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?

I live intentionally by keeping my personal faith in God as my highest priority. That includes spending time in meditation: reading my Bible, spending time in prayer and worshipping Jesus Christ in all I do. I also spend time writing out my gratitude list and journaling each week. One of the highlights is tracing God’s work in my life through a photo/journaling album.

What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?

My younger self would be proud of what I am doing now; stepping out in courage, taking new risks, and fulfilling my dream.

What is your biggest dream?

My dream is to fulfill my calling; to help Entrepreneurs, women and mission-driven people create and share their story so together we can "Impact A Million People A Year Through Story.”
