I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.

Hi, my name is Kelly T. Smith. I am an Intuitive Life Coach and the author of two oracle card decks, the Intuitive Life-Coaching Oracle and the Guiding Light Oracle. Right now, I am working on launching self-study classes and group coaching classes.

How did you get started?

It was at a time in my life when everything seemed to be falling apart. I had a great desire to work from home, so I could be at home with my children. At that time, I was going through a Dark Night of the Soul, and I had a spiritual awakening. My spiritual awakening brought me into clarity in regards to my soul purpose. From there, I decided to go to school to become a mind, body, wellness practitioner. As I was going to school, I became more and more connected with my inner self and my intuitive nature and that is around the time I started to channel and write my first oracle card deck.

What Inspired the work you’re doing?

As a teenager and young adult, I was drawn to self-help books. I used to listen to audio tapes at night as I would fall asleep. Every time I would be going through something I began to search for answers in a book or through prayer. I think I always knew that my passion and purpose was anything that had to do with connection, both with other people and with my inner connection. But it was not until later on that I would be able to see, that the whole time, what I had been searching for was right in front of me. It was in the books I was reading, in the conversations that I was having with others, and in the challenges that I had overcome.

What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?

My biggest passion is connection, communication, teaching, and sharing tools that uplift and help others to connect within themselves and learn ways to transform their lives from the inside out. I definitely feel like I am currently living my passion, although my passion always stays the same. Yet, the vehicle through which it expresses itself is always changing and evolving. As of right now, I find myself at crossroads into another unknown way that is currently birthing itself in regards to the way that I share and express my passion. I think understanding this has been the key for me. That although the general theme of my passion and purpose is consistent, it is always evolving, growing, and shifting into something new.

What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?

I love to write, spend time with family and friends, being outside in nature, I love to garden, and I love to do anything that sparks my inner creative side. In regards to a joy blueprint, I have learned that there is no official blueprint that works for me because it is about being in the flow, being present and in the moment, and knowing that sometimes we could be immersed in the things we love to do and find no joy, and other times, we could find ourselves in the midst of all the things we don’t like and find joy hidden in areas that we never thought to look. But it is a deep awareness that joy, just like happiness is something that can only come from within you. It is not the things that you do that brings you joy as much as it is the joy that you bring to the things that you do. For me, laughter, connection, creativity, and lighthearted fun always sparks that feeling, but I have also learned to bring that feeling into areas that I would have never thought could be joyful.

How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?

For me, staying in the present moment is directly connected with breath. We will notice that when we get in our head or get upset, that our breathing becomes shallow. As we learn to purposely breathe and to even incorporate daily mediation into our routine, we find ourselves able to be present and flow more effortlessly. Nature is also a key part of staying present and grounded. The more you can get outside in the fresh air—around the healing trees and water—the better.

What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?

My younger self would not be able to comprehend who I am now because she believed that she was unworthy and undeserving. She would be amazed. It has definitely been a journey from that version of who I was to who I have become. Even though they are the same person, the thing that sets them apart is how they perceive themselves. The younger me did not know or understand herself, the older me does.

Do you have a go-to mantra or affirmation?

Yes, I do. “I am divinely guided in all that I am and all that I do.”

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be of service to as many people as I can through creating tools and works that help you to connect to the deepest and truest part of you—and to help people find the tools they already have within themselves in order to transform from the inside out.
