Janine Hernandez

Janine Hernandez is a published author, mentor, speaker and world changer, and the founder of Purpose Driven Initiatives and JJ & Sons Tea. Her purpose in life is to impact other women, and she’s doing just that. Through her women empowerment events, motivational speaking, business consulting, and book publishing - everything that Janine has created and everything that she does comes from a desire to have an impact, support others in sharing their story, and spread joy.

Her passions and joy have always centered around writing, and along the way Janine has published two books. Her first book, Through My Eyes, is a compilation of her poetry, thoughts and inspiration. Feathers In The Sky, her first children’s book launching in July 2018, is a story that empowers and uplifts our youth by spreading love, joy, kindness and gratitude.

Janine has always had a passion for tea, and she felt that it was important to start something that would one day benefit her son. Enter JJ and Sons Tea - a family owned tea business that was established in 2017 with her son Jamil. Their mission is to bring families and friends together, enjoying joyful conversations with a warm tea in their hand.

I'd love it if you'd introduce yourself, what you do, and what you're working on.

My name is Janine Hernandez, founder of PDI and JJ and Sons Tea Company. I am an ambitious, outgoing, spunky and driven woman. I am a published author, motivational speaker, mentor and business owner. I just launched my second book called "Feathers in the Sky" and am getting ready to launch my second business JJ and Sons Tea Company. JJ and Sons slogan is "To Bring Joy in A Cup" I hope that with my books and a good cup of tea I can bring a smile to many people.

How did you get started?

I got started by finding mentors that were already successful, learning from them, duplicating their processes, and asking lots of questions. At the beginning I opened my businesses without really knowing what I was doing but I was driven for success and hungry to learn more. I started literally out of the trunk of my car. I didn't really even have an office, I just had a vision and went with it.

What inspired the work that you're doing?

Ever since I was 9 I always KNEW that I would write books, be an author, own my own publishing company and be successful. I have always loved to read, write poetry and make money.

What is your biggest passion? Do you feel like you're living your passion and purpose?

My biggest passion is writing books and becoming an author. I am definitely living my purpose.

What is your joy blueprint? What lights you up, brings you joy, and makes you feel the most alive?

A good book and tea bring me joy. Seeing my son smile brings me joy. Being at peace brings me joy.

How do you live intentionally? Are there tools/resources/practices that you rely on to help you stay mindful and grounded?

I practice gratitude every single day. I write down 3 things I am greateful for every single morning. I read my affirmations and goals day, I practice visualizations and visualize my future, and I meditate every day and send love to those around me.

What would your younger self think about what you're doing now?

My younger self already knew I would be doing this now, my younger self would be smiling in AMAZEMENT and Joy.

Do you have a go-to mantra or affirmation?

Everything I touch turns to Gold and I am deserving of all this abundant universe has for me.

What is your biggest dream?

To be a best selling author and to one day own my own tea/book store.
