Pallavi Pande

Pallavi Pande is a mompreneur based in Portland, Oregon and a proud founder of DTOCS. She is the mother of 2 young DTOCS brand ambassadors and a passionate entrepreneur.

Pallavi remembers eating on banana leaves while growing up in India. Even as a child she loved how this brought her closer to nature in a way that did not cause harm to nature. She started DTOCS with this those 3 things in mind- Sustainability, Community and Usability. DTOCS tableware is made from naturally fallen palm leaves. They are chemical free, plastic free, compostable, microwave safe, elegant and single use disposable. We employ a majority female workforce and part of the proceeds from our sales go towards improving education for the poor local communities in India. DTOCS plates and tableware are made with a focus on quality that makes them a great fit for your daily use as well as weddings and special events. You have to see these products to feel the love we have put into curating them!

Pallavi and DTOCS are the proud winners of the NEXTY award at the Natural Food Expo for the most innovative new sustainable product on the market. She also enjoyed auditioning for the final round of Shark Tank, and hopes to be in the tank in the near future!

In today’s episode, Pallavi shares her journey starting DTOCS. She started it with three things in mind, sustainability, community and usability. Her products are the hallmark of a green lifestyle, they are an elegant, sturdy and affordable solution to a plastic free world. Her purpose as a business owner is to share green alternatives, and giving people peace of mind. Her goal is to not only see these products in everyone’s kitchen, but to also see it in every restaurant, at weddings, and in every aspect of our life. Pallavi shares the inspiration behind DTOCS, how her products are made, and her goal to raise awareness for an eco-friendly lifestyle.

As human beings and dwellers of Mother Nature, we have forgotten that we serve a responsibility to Earth and by that it means keeping it safe and protecting its environment from landfills, exploitation of natural resources, and quality of life.
