Ameé Quiriconi

Ameé Quiriconi is a seasoned entrepreneur and businesswoman with nearly 20 years at the helm of many organizations, from small home-based businesses to multi-million dollar companies. Her professional career spans a variety of industries such as construction & architecture, manufacturing, government consulting, real estate, and health care. In 2018, she started podcasting about mental health, parenting and self-improvement on her show, One Broken Mom. And by 2019, she began to steer her personal and professional goals toward the integration of trauma informed practices into entrepreneurship and business. Ameé is also the author of The Fearless Woman's Guide to Starting a Business: What Every Woman Needs to Know to Be a Courageous, Authentic, and Unstoppable Entrepreneur. And with her study in the fields of neuroscience, psychology and self-improvement, she brings a thought-provoking harmony of practical business strategies with the underlying drives that affect people and their business success.

In today’s episode, Ameé shares her story reframing her past experiences from a belief that she was “cursed” to an understanding that it was the journey that allowed her to become who she was always meant to be, and to do what she always dreamed of doing: being a writer and speaker. Ameé became an entrepreneur and mother almost at the exact same time in her life, and while she experienced several great successes in business, once the recession hit it affected her more deeply than she could have anticipated. Instead of closing her business she chose to take on a business partner, and that partnership soon became extremely unhealthy. Ameé no longer felt like a capable woman, partner and mother, and soon after she found herself divorced. For the next seven years, she would sink deeper into darkness. Ameé shares the minute she knew she needed to change her life, the self-exploration journey she embarked on, and how she’s sharing her lessons through both her podcast and new book, The Fearless Woman's Guide to Starting a Business: What Every Woman Needs to Know to Be a Courageous, Authentic, and Unstoppable Entrepreneur". It’s Ameé’s hope that we all learn how to have a compassionate view of ourselves through understanding our trauma.

The joy is that I’m the happiest that I’ve ever been because I’ve learned that there is actually a world out there where I don’t have to tone down or hide away who I am, what I love, and who I want to be. I’m still learning everyday that I’m worthy of more in my life, and at the same time that is a model that my kids need that I didn’t have. That alone brings me joy, because they see and witness something better which is what I always wanted all along.
