The Power of Storytelling - Episode 5

Welcome back to The Power of Storytelling!

I cannot believe that we are in the fifth (!!) month of this series. When I launched The Power of Storytelling in January I had no idea how it would be received. Would anyone want to be part of it? Would anyone send in their story?

Five months later I'm so grateful and excited about the direction of this series. I'm even more excited and honored to share your stories. Thank you to the incredible women who have shared their stories. Every story has touched me in a different way, and I know you've had an impact on every single person who hears your story.

Mai and Belinda, thank you for sharing your stories, your truth, and your vulnerability this month with all of us. Your stories are raw, vulnerable, and inspiring.

This month's episode reminded me that expression comes in many forms. There isn't one way to express your creativity, love, joy, connection, and voice. As long as you're sharing your story, truth, and voice the way that you want to share it - that's all that matters.

When you speak from a space of authenticity, you can't go wrong.

Every story shared in this series is beautiful and authentic, and it still takes my breath away that I have the opportunity to share these stories.

Sharing, and connecting, to me is the definition of courage.

To step outside of your comfort zone, to have that courage, requires a strong willingness to step into our vulnerability and authenticity. To do that requires a deeper understanding of who we are - but to get to that space, means we have to share our story and our truth, the way we choose to share it.

But it isn't easy - the fear of vulnerability, can get in our way.

THE TRUTH IS, OUR VULNERABILITY IS OUR GREATEST ASSET.

Vulnerability is courage.

Vulnerability is strength.

Vulnerability is power.

Vulnerability is how we're going to continue to grow our voice, and build this community.
