Ep. 60 Reflections on Turning 28, Consistency, Embodiment (And a Whole Lot More!)

Happy #SeekTheJoy Tuesday! After a bit of a hiatus in the solo episode department, I’m back this week with a solo episode chatting about my first speaking event and my biggest takeaways when it comes to our passions and why we need to redefine consistency.Taking up space within our own bodies and lives to take a deeper look at our past, present and future. My reflections on turning 28 and what 27 taught me, my connection to 123, my personal year number, and SO much more!

Last Friday I spoke at my first event EVER at The Reckoning Rally at The Riveter! It was really so wonderful and so cool to meet and hear from so many amazing and inspiring women (and men!) We spent the evening organizing, collaborating, and connecting and let me tell ya, it was the BEST way to end my week. My biggest takeaway is this - we all are here to empower and be empowered, and the best way to do that is to tune in, listen, and connect.

In other news . . . my birthday is on Wednesday! Turning 28 feels like a big deal (but also not, at the same time) but it’s definitely landed me in a place of reflecting on the past year. What did 27 teach me? What did 2018 teach me? What do I hope to learn this year? What are my intentions for 28?

New beginnings can’t take shape, they can’t form, until we release and let go of the necessary endings.

That feels a lot like the them of this new year for me - and I can’t wait for things in my life to take flight and take shape the way that they are supposed to this year.

In addition to chatting about my reflections on turning 28, I also chat about my first EVER speaking experience last week at The Reckoning Rally and my biggest takeaway from that evening - the conversations I had about passions and consistency.

I also share something I overheard this week at work - “It’s not about who you are now -it’s about who you want to be.” This has really stuck with me in a profound way ever since. The dream, goal, vision, and desire for your future that you are holding on to - is not meant to be embodied at a later date.

Nope.

It’s meant to be embodied right now. To be who you want to be, means you have to choose that person right now.

Don’t wait for x, y or z to fall into place -

Don’t exist in that space of “well if this happens, THEN I can be who I want to be” etc. etc. etc. (I know you know what I’m talking about).

In order to be who we want to become, means we choose the embodiment of that now.

This really feels tied to this conversation about consistency - and also my connection to my birthdate of January 23rd (aka 123). You can check out the website I mention in the episode here (I LOVE this site and it’s my go-to resource for all things angel numbers and messages).

I’ll be back a little later this week with a little bit more in the show notes (trying to take my own advice here - and you’ll see what I mean in this week’s new episode!) but I was really excited to sit down and record this one.

Make sure to join the conversation on Instagram Facebook and Twitter!
